Have you ever come to that point in life when you decide that you have way too much Stuff?
Over the years I have given, donated and thrown away very much that I no longer use, but still; my closets, drawers, cellar and attic are full to the brim!
I wonder why I hold onto old things that no longer hold a value to me. There are things that I loved many years ago that are now boxed up in the attic taking up room and collecting dust!
After many years of marriage and three Fully grown children, it is time to get rid of the unnecessary belongings that I no longer have a need for.
"Holding on to unnecessary things that you no longer need or use may be clouding your happiness!"
Before I was married I didn't have much but I was happy. I remember waking up every morning with a smile on my face eager to start my day. My space around me was always clean & clear and so was my mind. Now that I think of it, I was also anxiety free back then!
Now after a lifetime of filling a household of stuff that I am no longer interested in dusting around, I want to clear away and feel free again!
I want motivation to start new projects or to redecorate some rooms. I want to make room for new opportunities to come my way. I want space around me...clarity.... organization and along with all of that..I want HAPPINESS!
Letting go of unwanted things can lead you to feel quite liberated! I know this because many times in the last 29 years I have purged my closets, drawers and attic. Eliminating "stuff" helps you to gain control of our surroundings, which can free up your time and there for...it can reduce stress.
If any of this is sounding familiar, here is your plan of action to clear away the clutter:
Make three piles:
"Hold your memories deep in your heart not in your closet and attic!"
I think that as we eliminate what we no longer need or want, It can clear the mind and opens our heart. We begin to appreciate the important things and people around us. It re-sparks our creativity once again and makes room for more blessings to come our way. ttyl
